Dear Colleagues,

We are coming up with an edited volume titled Intelligent Communication Networks: Research and Applications to be published by CRC Press, UK during the end of 2022.

This edited volume is aimed to provide a comprehensive and highly accessible treatment to the theory, applications and current research developments to the technological aspects related to machine learning for wireless communications, optical networks and computer networks. With the advent of Big Data, the conventional communication networks are often limited in their inability to handle complex and voluminous data and information as far as effective processing, transmission and reception are concerned. Huge amount of data explosion has called for real-time processing and delivery. Existing communication systems are burdened with bandwidth restrictions. The objective of the volume is to explore the different facets of computational intelligence in evolving intelligent communication networks which would become more efficient, robust and failsafe. Thus the volume is targeted to overcome the existing limitations of the conventional communication networks by introducing intelligent algorithms in the current set up, thereby enabling intelligent decision making in the conventional communication network frameworks and architectures. Optimization of the relevant network architectures is also a much sought affair, which the proposed volume is aimed to address.

Given the need for intelligent communication networks in the present context, we are soliciting quality contributions from prospective authors and experts in this domain. Topics of interest include but are not limited to the following.

Computational Intelligence in Communication Networks: Classification, Clustering, Support Vector Machines, Reinforcement Learning, Deep Learning

Wireless Networks: 5G and 6G Communication, Massive MIMO, NOMA, Energy Consumption, Green Communication, Heterogeneous Communication

Optical Networks: Optical Transport Networks, Automatically Switched Optical Networks, DWDM, Enhanced Common Public Radio Interface (eCPRI), Elastic optical networks, Software-defined optical transmission

Computer Networks: Software defined networks, Internet of things, Traffic engineering, Mobile Edge computing, Sensor networks

Proposal Acceptance Notification: March 30, 2022
Full Chapter Submission Deadline: June 30, 2022
Review Notification: July 31, 2022
CRC Submission: August 31, 2022
